iHeart Minneapolis Adds Thunder To Mornings
Greg Thunder is the new morning show co-host on Cities 97 KTCZ-FM, joining Keri Noble. Thunder is a Minnesota native and will join Cities 97 from KGOR in Omaha. He's worked in the Twin Cities before, hosting a morning show on KSTP-FM from 2004-2010. He then went on to host mornings in Houston on KILT-FM.
Duley Goes Home For Middays At STAR 99.9
STAR 99.9 (WEZN-FM Bridgeport, CT) has filled its’ midday vacancy with Megan Duley. Originally from Connecticut, Megan has been in Massachusetts, near the Berkshires, for the last few years co-hosting mornings at Live 95.9 (WBEC-FM Pittsfield).
Goldberg To Manage Sales For iHeart Denver Region
Micah Goldberg has been named Senior VP of Sales for iHeartMedia's Denver region. The iHeartMedia Denver region consists of 26 stations that includes Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Ogallala, Nebraska.
WGN Extends Contract With “Mr. Fix It”
The new deal with Lou Manfredini runs through December 31, 2020. Manfredini began his career at WGN in 1995 as a guest on the Bob Collins Show when he was given the nickname “Mr. Fix It.” He continues to answer listeners’ home improvement questions on The Mr. Fix-It Show, which is the #1 Saturday morning radio program in Chicago.
Lewis New APD & Midday Host For “The Bull”
KWNR-FM 95.5 The Bull, Las Vegas' New Country, announced Monday that Lois Lewis has been named the new Assistant Program Director/Music Director and new mid-day host, effective immediately. Lewis will host weekdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. PT.
Kelly Takes Over Afternoons At The Mix Houston
MIX 96.5 (KHMX-FM) in Houston will move Lauren Kelly to afternoon drive beginning Monday, March 21. Kelly currently holds down the midday slot. She's replaceing Chad Pitt, who recently joinined 101.9 AMP Radio in Orlando. Chris Jackson will fill the midday post and take over as Music Director and APD. Jackson will move to KHMX from KXTE-FM in Las Vegas.
Rayfield To Chair NYMRAD
The New York Market Radio Association has made some changes to its executive committee. CBS Radio Senior VP and Market Manager Marc Rayfield (pictured) is the new chairman replacing Deon Levingston. Univision's Ramon Pineda remains on the committee as Vice Chair and iHeart's Scott Hopeck joins as Treasurer.
Muth Jumps From Comcast To Greater Media
Greater Media Boston has named Jason Muth its Interactive Sales + Strategy Director. It's a brand new position at the five-station cluster that includes WBOS-FM, WBQT-FM , WKLB-FM, WMJX-FM, and WROR-FM.
John Rook Dead at 78

Waldman, Sterling Back For More Radio
The Yankees and WFAN in New York have announced a deal that will keep John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman calling the radio games for the team. WFAN has been the Yankees radio flagship since 2014. This will be Sterling's 27th-consecutive season calling Yankee games. Waldman begins her 12th.
