Stei To Entertain WCZT Listeners

Coastal Broadcasting has inked Bob Stei to host this summer’s nightly broadcast from the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, for Hot AC 98.7 The Coast (WCZT). Stei will also fill in when needed at the Coast and sister Modern Rocker WJSE, and he’ll continue to host weekends/swing at Townsquare Classic Rock 105.7 The Hawk (WCHR-FM) Ocean/Monmouth, NJ.

Shore Out As PD at Detroit Sports 105.1

The Detroit News reports that for the second time since the Greater Media station flipped from AC to sports less than three years ago, WMGC-FM is looking for a new PD. Dave Shore, who hired as PD and afternoon co-host in February 2015, was let go this week, according to the paper. Shore replaced PD Jason Dixon who was the program director when the station went sports in 2013.

iHeart’s JAM’N Boston Changes Morning Show

More nationwide growth for The Breakfast Club. Hip Hop station JAM'N 94.5 in Boston will begin piping in the syndicated morning show beginning Thursday. iHeart says former morning team Frankie and Ashlee will remain with the company and more details on what they will be doing will be announced soon.

COO Drew Horowitz confirmed to Radio Ink that the long-time programmer was out and said there was no statement about the change from the company. Horowitz did tell The Chicagoland Radio and Media Blog, this "was a senior management decision to initiate a corporate restructure that was the driver of the change."

As of May 15, iHeartMedia Honolulu morning man Coach Larry Price is ending his 33-year run as half of KSSK's Adult Contemporary morning show duo of Perry & Price. Price plans to focus on other interests within the company though. He plans to launch a new sports show with Rick Hamada on sister station FOX Sports 990 that will air on Saturdays at 11 a.m.
