The Las Vegas Country station made the announcement Monday. Big D will host weekdays from 3-7 p.m. PT, beginning August 22. He knows the Vegas market well, having worked there as the Assistant Program Director/Music Director and afternoon host on KPLV-FM 93.1 the Party. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Big D served as the evening personality on 101.3 KDWB-FM in Twin Cities. Big D replaces JoJo Turnbeaugh in afternoons.

Region Senior Vice President of Programming, JoJo Turnbeaugh, said, “Big D was a big part of The Bull when he handled nights a couple of years ago. It’s great to have him back home where I know he will take afternoons to a whole new level here in Las Vegas.”

“Country radio is something I’ve grown to love over the last five years. I’ve been lucky enough to learn the format from amazing programmers like Travis Moon, Bree Wagner, Gregg Swedberg, and JoJo Turnbeaugh. I’m excited to step into my first full-time gig in Country radio with a stacked air staff on a massive station. I’m blessed for this opportunity and cannot wait to see where it brings me next. Horns Up!” said Big D.
