92.3 WIL Announces On-Air Team Additions

New Country 92.3 WIL in St. Louis has beefed up its on-air roster. Kelly Rebal has been named the new Producer of WIL’s Bud and Broadway morning show, effective July 5. And Josh Holleman has been named the new evening personality, 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. He is scheduled to start on July 20.

Cameron Joins Falcons Pregame Show At WZGC

WZGC SportsRadio 92-9 The Game has added to its Atlanta Falcons pregame coverage by bringing in veteran broadcaster Ryan Cameron as co-host with Mike Conti. Pregame coverage begins August 11, for every Falcons preseason and regular season game.

Former WJR Reporter Rod Hansen Dies

WJR reported on its website that Hansen died Monday. Hansen started working at WJR in 1967. He was a street reporter and news director and his specialty was covering the federal court in Detroit.

WYCD-FM Detroit host Linda Lee celebrates her 20th year on the air at the station, making her the longest-running female country music air personality in Detroit history. CBS Detroit Market Manager Debbie Kenyon said, “Linda’s longstanding career with WYCD is a testament to her talent and ability. She truly is one of the greatest air personalities in the business.”

Brocato Joins Adams In Las Cruces

Scott Brocato is now part of the Adams Radio Las Cruces team. Brocato's duties will include shifts on both KGRT and KSNM. Adams owns and operates KGRT FM (Country), KSNM FM (Classic Hits), KHQT FM (Hot 103), and KWML AM (Fox Sports) in Las Cruces. Brocato is celebrating his 30th year in radio, most recently with CBS Radio on KEZK and KYKY St. Louis.

Dana And Jayson Out At WBLI

Cox Media Group's Long Island morning team Dayna and Jayson were let go from the station after a two-and-a-half year run. Jayson joined Dana in the morning after Jeffrey Jameson left the show in January 2014. The company says the station decided to go in a different direction and an announcement on a new morning show will be made next week. WBLI has been battling to keep up with WALK in the ratings in that market.

Collelo To Produce Bubba Show

The Bubba Radio Network has named Kimberly “Jabberjaw” Collelo new Executive Producer for the Bubba The Love Sponge Show. Collelo began her radio career over 10 years ago as an Associate Producer for iHeartRadio/WFLZ and the MJ Morning Show from 2005 to 2008. She began working with Bubba in November 2008.

Cox Media Group Ohio’s Market VP Julia Wallace is joining Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as the Frank Russell Chair for the Business of Journalism. She begins teaching classes in January. Wallace announced her retirement at the end of June. She's staying on until the end of the year.

iHeartMedia has created a new position for radio vet Tony Banks. He's now Director of Talent Development for the company's Central Division. iHeart's Central Division includes 300 stations in 52 markets including Dallas, Houston, Denver, and Minneapolis, among others. Banks will be responsible for discovering and recruiting new on-air talent as well as coaching, training, and mentoring existing talent.
