Hernandez Joins El Patron In Dual Role

Rico Hernandez has joined iHeart's Regional Mexican station El Patron (Phoenix) as morning show on-air talent and Executive Station Producer, effective January 2, 2018. He will also continue to serve as midday talent on Tejano 1600 in Tucson. Hernandez has been an on-air host for Tejano 1600 in Tucson for iHeartMedia since 2013.

Big Apple Homecoming For Ken Johnson

Urban programming executive Ken Johnson will return to Cumulus Urban AC station WNBM-FM/Radio 103.9 in New York City as Program Director. Johnson successfully launched WNBM in July 2014, and left the station in April 2015 to become Operations Manager for Cumulus Media’s Urban AC-formatted WUHT-FM/Hot 107.7 in Birmingham, AL.

Friedlander Joins RAB

The Radio Advertising Bureau has hired Sharon Friedlander as its new VP of Insights, effective January 2. She'll be replacing Annette Malave who's leaving to pursue other interests on January 11. Most recently, Friedlander served as partner/director at media planning agency MEC, with previous roles at Group M and OMD.  

Elizabethany Climbing The Ladder At Hot 99.5

iHeartMedia Washington, DC, announced today that Elizabethany has been named APD and afternoon show host for HOT 99.5, (WIHT-FM) “DC's No. 1 Hit Music Station,” and home to The Kane Show. As APD, Elizabethany will assist in overseeing the station’s on-air and music programming.

Right where she was, as Big D and Bubba’s Silverfish Media signs an extension that will keep the CMA and ACM award-nominated personality as host of the Country with Carsen show (10-3 weekdays) for at least two more years. She also contributes to the Big D and Bubba morning show. Compass Media Networks will continue to syndicate the show.

Manley To Run WGN Chicago

WGN Radio’s Vice President of Content & Programming Todd Manley will now add Station Manager to his title at the Tribune- owned station. Manley will oversee the long-term strategy and day-to-day management of WGN Radio on all platforms. In addition WGN-TV President/General Manager Paul Rennie adds WGN Radio to his oversight. Manley will report to Paul Rennie.

Howard Goes All Interviews, All The Time

Howard Stern's exclusive SiriusXM channel, Howard 100, will turn "all interviews, all the time," starting midnight December 18, and run through New Year's Day. Howard 101, will be dedicated to the show's greatest highlights from the year. Howard 101: Everything Else will feature his top comedic moments with the Wack Pack, prank phone calls, and stunts.

Sirott And Murciano Out At WLS

WLS in Chicago will move more conservative come January 1. The husband-wife team of Bob Sirott and Marianne Murciano, who host middays, will be replaced by the syndicated Chris Plante Show (9-11), and Rush Limbaugh will be broadcast live (11-2 Chicago time). One year ago, Sirott and Murciano replaced Jonathon Brandmeier.

Woody Show Lands At Detroit’s ALT 106.7
