The Broadcasters Foundation of America announced Monday that Perry A. Sook — Founder, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nexstar Media Group — will receive the 2019 Golden Mike Award on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Dan Dibley has signed a long-term contract extension with Entercom. The co-host of the morning show on 95.7 The Game (KGMZ-FM) in San Francisco will remain on Joe, Lo & Dibs, weekdays 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT.

iHeart's Country outlet in Cleveland has announced The LeeAnn and Wazz Show will debut Monday. Steve Wazz is a Cleveland native originally from Parma. He will co-host morning drive with LeeAnn Sommers, who's been a part of the WGAR on-air staff since 2010.

Wilson has joined Nautel as Regional Sales Manager. Based in his home city of Quincy, IL, he will manage Nautel’s Western U.S. sales territory. Prior to joining Nautel, Wilson progressed through the ranks during his 20-year tenure at Broadcast Electronics.

Radio One's Qri Montague says she did nothing to warrant being tased during a traffic stop. Fox 5 in Atlanta reports the confrontation with officer Lemuel Gardner began following Montague’s repeated requests to know why she was in handcuffs.

RJ Curtis has been hired as the new Executive Director of the Country Radio Broadcasters/Country Radio Seminar. Bill Mayne has been Executive Director for nearly a decade. This past April, Mayne announced he would be leaving following the 50th Anniversary year of Country Radio Seminar.

Kelli Turner has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of SESAC Holdings, it was announced Wednesday by John Josephson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SESAC, whom Turner will report to.

iHeartMedia has named Cristina Mayer Marketing Director for Washington DC–Baltimore. Mayer joins the DC–Baltimore region from Mimi Brown Studio in New York City where she most recently served as Production Manager.

Mike Clark spent 22 years on the air at WRIF in Detroit. He had been battling health issues the past few years and died in his sleep Monday night at the age of 63. Up until five years ago, Clark and Drew Lane hosted Drew and Mike on the legendary rock station. They were together for 20 years.
