Young has assumed the role for Educational Media Foundation’s Air1 network. She joined Air1 almost 10 years ago and has served as morning co-host, midday air talent, APD, and Music Director.
Debbins Doubles Duties
Chris Debbins is the new Assistant Program Director for 98 PXY (WPXY-FM) in Rochester. Debbins will also continue in his current roles as afternoon drive host and Music Director, which he assumed in 2016.
Carrillo Makes The Move To WHBC Canton
Gabe Carrillo is the new Program Director and afternoon drive host of Mix 94.1 (WHBC-FM), effective November 1. Most recently, Carillo was with Saga Communications at WNRG-FM/Energy 106.9 in Milwaukee, WI.

Davidson’s Role Expanded In Canton
99.7 Canton’s New Country also has a new Program Director. Scott Davidson has been named to the role and will double up on the job with My 101.7, The 80s and More. Davidson most recently served as morning show host on 101.7, and has held several programming positions throughout his career.
Trio On The Rise At Beasley
All three are at 103.7 WSOC-FM in Charlotte, NC. Jack Daniel has been named PD at WSOC-FM and 94.7 SMOKE. He will continue in his role as the afternoon on-air personality on K 104.7 in Charlotte. Philip Tabakelis, a.k.a. “Big Sexy” has been named APD for 103.7 FM. And Mimi Wheeler has added the title of Music Director to her duties at WSOC.
Eagan Promoted At CMG Atlanta
Chris Eagan has been promoted to Senior Director of Operations for Cox Media Group Atlanta. Eagan will oversee programming for B98.5 (WSB-FM), 97-1 The River (WSRV-FM), and Kiss 104.1 (WALR-FM), and have continued responsibility for radio promotions and digital content, as well as commercial production in the Atlanta market
Bob E. Day Passes
Bob Day was a fixture on the Central Pennsylvania airwaves for over 50 years, making him an iconic broadcaster in the region. He passed away on October 18.
Flanagan Making A Halloween Exit
Mike Flanagan, Program Director of Colorado Public Radio’s OpenAir, announced that he will retire on October 31. Flanagan’s career in radio has spanned over 50 years, including nearly 15 years at CPR, first as a classical music host in the 1990s and then in his current role as OpenAir PD.
A Match Made In Seattle
There’s a new APD at 94.1 The Sound (KSWD-FM) in Seattle. Jeanne Ashley will also assume the role of co-host of the station’s morning show, joining John Fisher for John and Jeanne, airing weekdays, 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT.
