Veteran Cleveland traffic/news reporter Rick Abell has died. Newsradio WTAM 1100 is reporting this week that "Sky Chief" passed away May 5 after a long illness and complications from hip surgery.

Marty Manning Retiring After 50 Years On-Air
Manning got his start in radio in 1969 at KCAC 1010-AM voicing commercials and working as a part-time on-air host. His career has taken him from Arizona to Texas, California, Ohio, and back to Phoenix in 1985 when he became the Creative Director for 99.9.
