Saga Announces Warren Lada Retiring

Chief Operating Officer Warren Lada will retire from Saga Communications at the end of June. CEO Ed Christian said, "Warren has been an integral part of Saga for the past 27 years and we will deeply miss his contributions to Saga and its radio stations across the U.S."

Young Out In Pittsburgh

Entercom has confirmed Michael Young (pictured) is no longer running its Pittsburgh cluster. Entercom picked up four CBS Radio stations when the two companies merged. Young was the Market Manager for CBS Radio and he was retained by Entercom until this week.

Sweet Promotion For Redberg

iHeartMedia Minneapolis has promoted Michelle Redberg to VP of Sales for the nine-station cluster. iHeart Minneapolis also has partnerships with the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota Wild, and University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Sports. Redberg joined iHeart in 2016 as a Senior AE and has 14 years of media experience in broadcast and cable television.

KXL Portland Pair Win Reporting Awards

Alpha Media, Portland, OR announced that AM Drive anchor Steve Leader and reporter Rosemary Reynolds of KXL both have received Associated Press awards. Leader received the Best Enterprise Reporting award and Reynolds received the Best Public Service award.

In the morning, Paul Gallant will join Mad Radio with Mike Meltser and Seth Payne. During middays, the station drops Cody Stoots and adds morning producer Landry Locker while rehiring former host Fred Davis. Davis and Locker team with Stoots' former co-host John Lopez

Thirty-year Chicago radio sales executive Jeff Hill has been appointed VP Sales for Cumulus Media-Chicago. Hill will head sales for Alternative Rock station 101 WKQX-FM, Classic Hits station  94.7 WLS-FM, and Talk Radio station WLS 890 AM.

Nick Wize has been named APD for KRQQ, KOHT, and KMIY effective June 11. He will also take over afternoon drive on KRQQ. Wize was mostly recently with iHeart Detroit, where his roles included APD and on-air talent for WKQI.
