The Dallas Cowboys owner was the first guest on the new ESPN Audio weekly podcast which launched January 10 called Adam Schefter’s Know Them From Adam.

The North American Broadcasters Association will be hosting its 3rd annual Future of Radio & Audio Symposium on February 16, at the NAB offices in Washington, DC. FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai will be a keynote speaker, and topics to be covered include the audio dashboard, podcasting, and FM activations in smartphones.

There had been whispers that SiriusXM was a possible buyer of the streaming pure play. However after some comments SiriusXM CFO David Frear made last week to kill those rumors, Pandora's stock dropped over 5%. Frear said, "With respect to all the chatter about acquisitions, you have to look at them as sort of being not very likely." Frear was speaking at the Citi Internet, Media & Telecommunications Conference in Las Vegas.

The Satelite company will pay tribute to George Michael with a limited-run channel called "Faith" which will feature music from the artist's earliest recordings with Wham!, his collaborations with Elton John, Aretha Franklin and Queen, plus his solo career starting with his 1987 album, Faith. The channel launches January 4 and will air through January 10 on channel 13.

There’s a new show on PodcastOne called Beyond the Darkness – and fans of the paranormal are in for a treat. The show has been added to WWE star Chris Jericho’s podcast network, under the PodcastOne umbrella, and will feature enlightening and entertaining conversations with world-renowned researchers and experiencers, and challenge listeners' thinking on paranormal mysteries.

December 13 sees the tip-off of University of Kentucky hoops coach John Calipari’s new weekly podcast, Cal Cast. The show will feature a variety of topics and high-profile guests from the world of sports, leadership, business, and entertainment. Calipari’s first guest is fellow Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Charles Barkley.

The two companies announced on Wednesday that Slacker Radio's audio ad inventory in the U.S and Canada is now part of Triton Digital's a2x programmatic audio advertising exchange. Triton's a2x enables programmatic buying of targeted online and mobile audio ad inventory.
