NABOB/AARP Awareness Campaign

The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters and AARP are teaming up for a COVID-19 awareness campaign. With reports that African American communities are being severely impacted by the pandemic, NABOB member stations will air AARP-COVID-19 messages.

“As we persevere through these long hard days of dealing with the pandemic, having a partner like AARP join with us in this campaign is very critical. We thank AARP and look forward to getting through this crisis together,” said Jim Winston, NABOB President.

“We are excited about the media buy opportunity with African American/Black radio stations across the country and the strategic placement of AARP’s new COVID-19 radio spots featuring our CEO, particularly in the many hard hit multicultural communities,” said Shani Hosten Vice President, Multicultural Leadership, African American/Black Strategy of AARP.
