Following Monday’s break-up episode of ABC TV’s The Bachelor, myTalk107.1 (Twin Cities) showed support for one of its own. After Arie Luyendyk, Jr. dumped his Prior Lake, MN-resident fiancée Becca Kufrin, the station quickly posted 26 digital billboards across the Minneapolis/St. Paul market stating: “Becca – You’ll always have a rose from Minnesota.” Luyendyk, Jr. proposed to Minnesota’s Becca Kufrin during the final rose ceremony, only to break the engagement with her weeks later while expressing his regret in passing up the season’s “runner up” Lauren Burnham.

“We are Minnesotans, that means we take care of our own,” says Colleen Lindstrom, co-host of the Colleen & Bradley Show on myTalk 107.1. “There was no excuse for the rotten way that Arie treated Becca, and we wanted her to know that we’ve got her back. myTalk is 100% #TeamBecca.”

The billboards generated national attention, including a shout-out on the live show, The Bachelor: After The Final Rose, from host Chris Harrison during his interview with Kurfrin.
