Part-time voice work is turning into a full-time job in Alaska for McConnell Adams, who is officially joining Last Frontier Mediactive on November 1. Adams has voice-tracked Movin’ 105.7 (KMVN) in Anchorage for almost a decade and has also programmed K-Wolf 98.1 in Fairbanks and KFAT in Anchorage.

He most recently worked at Cumulus Media Little Rock until being affected by the company’s bankruptcy layoffs earlier this year.

In the newly expanded role, Adams will work on on-air programming, imaging and branding, music, promotions, social media, digital content, contests, and overall brand development for both Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Last Frontier Chief Operating Officer Perry Walley stated, “McConnell brings a tremendous amount of experience, creativity, and professionalism to our company. More importantly, he genuinely cares about radio and the future of local radio. He understands that what makes our stations successful goes far beyond the music we play. It’s about being connected to our communities, creating great local content, supporting our advertisers, engaging our listeners, and making our stations matter every day.”

Adams added, “Alaska has been a huge part of my life for ten years, and I’m blessed and honored to rejoin this team. A massive thank you to Perry Walley for welcoming me back. It’s rare to find a broadcast team with a culture that truly puts local community first while backing innovation and hard work. I can’t wait to get to work.”
