The reshuffle of former Alpha Media stations has reached the Pennsylvania-Maryland border. Connoisseur Media Hagerstown’s WQCM is being sold to Family Life Ministries, a nonprofit Christian broadcaster, with the deal expected to close before the year ends.

The Greencastle, PA, station will join a signal Family Life recently purchased in Hershey, PA, pending FCC approval. The sale continues a portfolio realignment at Connoisseur, including the July sale of the 94.5 frequency in California’s Bay Area to another Christian broadcaster, K-LOVE, for $2 million.

Bergner & Co. was the exclusive broker on the transaction. Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP represented Connoisseur, and Hardy, Carey, Chautin & Balkin, LLP represented Family Life Ministries.

Connoisseur Media Founder and CEO Jeff Warshaw commented, “We were approached by Family Ministries, who wanted to expand their Christian-formatted radio broadcasts into the Hagerstown/Chambersburg market. We already have three other strong stations serving the market, so we were open to discussions.”

Family Life Ministries President and CEO Rick Snavely stated, “Family Life is excited to expand its coverage in south central PA as WQCM will be a nice addition to our recently purchased signal in Hershey.”
