John Goforth, who has run Hubbard Media That Connects’ Gamut Podcast Network since joining the company in 2024, has been elevated to President. Hubbard says the new title places Gamut alongside its other media and entertainment companies.

Goforth joined Hubbard in August 2024 as VP and General Manager of Podcasts, and the company formally launched Gamut in 2025 as a stand-alone business alongside its radio stations and digital marketing agency 2060 Digital.

Before joining Hubbard, Goforth served as Chief Revenue Officer of Magellan AI. He previously led podcast sales at HowStuffWorks, where revenue more than doubled in 2018, and guided the company through its acquisition by iHeartMedia, where he became SVP of Podcast Revenue Strategy. Earlier, he was VP of Advertising Partnerships at Midroll Media.

Gamut’s revenue has grown 47% over the past two years, according to the company. The network now includes more than 250 national and local shows, including American Nightmares and Professor of Rock, along with local sports networks SKOR North in Minneapolis-St. Paul and 312 Sports in Chicago.

Hubbard CEO Ginny Hubbard said, “John has been leading Gamut since the day he walked in the door, and we’ve watched him turn it into something everyone at Hubbard is proud of. He understands this business from the creator’s side and the sales side, and he genuinely cares about the people making these shows. Naming him President is our way of recognizing that, and of letting the industry know how much we believe in where Gamut is headed under John’s leadership.”

Goforth commented, “I’ve been doing this for more than a decade, and the questions change every couple of years. YouTube, video, what even counts as a podcast anymore. Our creators don’t have to guess at the answers. Wherever their audience goes, we help them get there and ensure they make money along the way.”
