Salem Media Promotes Two Finance Leaders After CFO Exit

Salem Media’s first leadership moves since going private are landing in finance. The company has promoted Autumn Marcus to Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategic Planning, and Monica Montijo to Senior Vice President, Controller and Accounting.

Marcus, previously Senior Vice President of Finance, will now oversee Salem’s financial planning function. Montijo, previously Salem’s Controller, will lead the company’s accounting organization.

The promotions fill a gap left by Evan Masyr, Salem’s CFO for the past 19 years, who departed for K-LOVE as its new CFO on the same day Salem’s sale to WaterStone closed, August 20.

Salem Media CEO David Santrella said, “Salem is entering an important new chapter, and Autumn and Monica will be key members of the leadership team helping us shape it. They know Salem and our businesses extremely well, and I have tremendous confidence in both of them and the teams they lead. We want our finance and accounting teams to be strong partners with our operating leaders and help us make better decisions across the business. Autumn and Monica have the experience and knowledge of Salem to do exactly that.”
