Transparency and life after ratings are headed to the general sessions at next March’s Country Radio Seminar. An early agenda preview also adds a four-part series on how hits get made and returning label luncheons, with more programming still to be revealed.

According to CRS, the general sessions will explore radio’s role in music discovery, industry relationships, career transitions, trust, and the metrics that reveal lasting audience engagement. “Fundamentals of Finding Music” asks what radio can do that no other platform can, exploring its power to break artists, amplify music, and build fans. “The New Radio Scoreboard: Measuring Success With or Without Ratings” examines the signals that matter most today and how to turn them into smarter decisions.

“Life After Layoff” features two professionals who share what came next, offering insight into paths back to radio and opportunities beyond it. “Certified Human: Trust & Transparency” focuses on clear communication and transparent data, with CRS noting that listener relationships, advertiser dollars, and ratings all hinge on trust. “Beyond Vanity Metrics” gathers five industry perspectives on how connecting radio, streaming, social, and fan behavior signals can show whether an artist is attracting attention or building a lasting audience.

The Cycle of a Song series will examine the people, decisions, and partnerships that move music from the writing room to radio and help build lasting artist careers. One session traces the unconventional journey of Drew Baldridge’s “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” to No. 1, including how he broke records along the way. “Cycle of a Song: Women Making an Impact” brings artists and industry leaders together to unpack the momentum, progress, and work needed to turn this moment into lasting change.

“Anatomy of an Artist” tracks an artist’s rise and explores how independence, ownership, touring, fan loyalty, strategic partnerships, and radio helped build a superstar. “Songwriters Round” offers a direct look at the craft, business, and journey from the writing room to radio.

CRS 2027 will also bring back the daily luncheon showcases, featuring Warner Records Nashville and Team MCA at the Ryman, with Big Machine Records serving as the finale on Friday, March 19. Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley remains an event staple, offering attendees more chances to experience live music and connect with peers. Lineup details will be announced in the months ahead.

CRS, set for March 17 to 19 at the Omni Nashville Hotel, is also running a one-day Fall Sale on Thursday, October 29, taking 10% off the current CRS 2027 three-day registration rate at CountryRadioSeminar.com.
