The Lisa McKay Women in Radio Scholarship is back. Female college seniors and early-career programmers can apply for one of three packages covering registration, airfare, and hotel in Nashville for first-time attendees to Country Radio Seminar ahead of CRS 2027.
The scholarship honors the late McKay, a 2018 Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee and Program Director at WQDR in Raleigh. Applications are open through Thursday, October 22. Three recipients will be recognized during CRS 2027, set for March 17-19, and each will receive full registration, round-trip airfare to Nashville, and hotel accommodations at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
Eligible applicants must be either a female college senior studying broadcast communications who is involved in radio programming or a female professional with one to three years of experience in radio as a Program Director, Assistant Program Director, or Music Director. All applicants must be first-time CRS attendees.
Interested applicants can apply via the Country Radio Seminar website.
The 2026 recipients were Radio New Braunfels’ Ella Martinez (KNBT/KGNB), Digio Strategies’ Dixie Roberts (WTVY), and First Media Radio’s Aston Williams (WDWG).
