Urban Radio’s economic influence on the African American consumer market takes center stage when the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters holds its Fall Conference and Power of Urban Radio Forum over two days in Washington, DC.
Held on the campus of the US Black Chamber of Commerce, the conference and forum center on the power, influence, and economic impact of Urban Radio and the African American consumer.
A “Global Media Agency Chief Investment Officer Forum” headlines the schedule, featuring IPG Omnicom Chief Investment Officer Maureen Bosetti, Horizon Media President of Media Investment Dave Campanelli, Publicis Media Senior Vice President of Media Investment Touraan Chestnut, and Carat USA Chief Investment Officer Carrie Drinkwater.
With the November 2026 midterm elections approaching, Fuse Advertising CEO Cliff Franklin will address the political and advertising environment surrounding the campaigns. Franklin previously led agency work on Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, and his session will cover the opportunities and challenges facing Black-owned and Urban Radio broadcasters as political spending increasingly competes for African American voters’ attention.
Senior executives from Procter and Gamble, General Motors, and AARP join the agenda, addressing their companies’ marketing priorities and strategies for engaging African American consumers.
In addition, Horizon Media Chairman and Founder Bill Koenigsberg will receive the 2026 NABOB-Marc Pritchard Corporate Impact Award, recognizing his contributions to the advertising and media industry.
Registration is available via the NABOB website.
Kizart Media Partners Managing Partner Sherman Kizart said, “The 2026 NABOB Fall Conference / Power of Urban Radio delivers again. It brings together the people who control significant media investment, the corporations seeking to connect with African American consumers, and the industry leaders who understand the power and influence of Urban Radio.”
