Entravision Communications’ creator, curator, and Latina-led multimedia radio station has formally made its LA debut. Previously Viva 103.1, Reyna 103.1 (KDLD) flipped formats to Spanish Adult Contemporary in June. Now, five founding voices will guide the rebrand into a digital era.
Emprendiendo Latinos Founder and Adriana’s Insurance CEO Adriana Gallardo will speak on leadership and financial independence; Raize Fit Founder Vicky Loza will explore conversations on fitness, relationships, and self-love. MBA, Latina Approved co-founder, and All Things Latina host Tani Estefy will share her thoughts on bicultural identity, while Brazen Wellness founder and author Raq-C will help listeners navigate motherhood and self-reinvention. Rounding out the creator-led roster, South Central LA native Emily Tapia will uncover the city’s best local spots, pop-ups, and hidden gems.
Reyna will also include two male creators who align with the platform’s values: Nova Arts Founder, hair stylist, and educator Sal Salcedo to empower women to build self-love and confidence through personal transformation; and celebrity fashion stylist Iván Poshenko to provide advice on style and authenticity.
Reyna’s launch attempts to address an overlooked market. In the US, 34 million Latinas with $1.3 trillion in buying power rarely have a media or broadcast platform tailored to their lives, language, and culture. Comprised of 80% Spanish and 20% English programming, Reyna offers a compelling option for the modern bicultural Latina listener.
Entravision President of Audio Eduardo Maytorena said, “As the father of two daughters, I wanted to build something for Latinas, created by Latinas. To be transparent, this is one of the most ambitious initiatives I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m incredibly proud of what our team is building. We’re challenging ourselves to rethink what a radio brand can be by creating content the way our audience consumes it today: across mobile, social, video, and on-air. Reyna is our first real expression of that vision.”
Senior Director of Audio Content Jacquelynn Carrera shared, “I’ve always wanted to create something that speaks to me as a woman and as a Latina. Our founding principle is to be unapologetically Latina and to elevate the voices that speak to every Latina. I’ve poured my heart into launching Reyna because we finally have a real platform that understands me, looks like me, and speaks like me.”
