The WSUL Heart-A-Thon celebrated its 45th year this past Friday and raised over $103,000 for heart disease in the Sullivan Catskills.
Months of planning and fundraising, with the help of a dedicated committee of community leaders and sponsors culminates into a one-day Radiothon at Resorts World Catskills where from 6AM-6PM, local on-air personalities spend the day interviewing fundraisers, dignitaries, and special guests who tell their stories and area listeners and community leaders make their pledges.
“This annual event is a great example of the power that local radio has in bringing an entire community together for a great cause. The money raised will be added to the over $2.5 Million dollars raised to date, to help in the fight against heart disease.” Dawn Ciorciari, General Manager Bold Gold Media NY Region.
