Books For Chicago Kids

WMVP ESPN Chicago, is partnering with ‘Bernie’s Book Bank’, to distribute free books to K-6th grade students. Morning host David Kaplan created the event to help the nonprofit dedicated to increasing book ownership among under-served Chicagoland children.

Kaplan will walk with Bernie’s Book Bank CEO Darrin Utynek. Walk As One Chicago features a 20-mile circular route departing from Guaranteed Rate Field and stopping at iconic Chicago sports stadiums including Wrigley Field.

The 3rd annual Walk As One is set for September 22. Since 2009, Bernie’s Book Bank has distributed more than 22 million free, quality books to Chicagoland children ages birth through sixth grade.
