‘Friends of Georgia Radio’ is a new non-profit organization to honor radio professionals that have provided extraordinary service to Geogia communities. The organization will also provide scholarships to students committed to a career in audio communication.
“In just the few days since we launched, there has been a buzz building around the website and the organization. It’s amazing who we’re hearing from. Current and former talent at stations from big markets to small,” said Richard Warner, FoGR President.
“We’re focused on recruiting volunteers to help us with our first event, a gala on August 27th where we’ll induct our first class of Georgia Radio Legends and award the first FoGR scholarships to deserving Georgia College students,” said Dennis Winslow, FoGR VP.
