The 20th Annual 94.9 The Point Radiothon was a success; raising money for pediatric care in Norfolk. Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters will benefit from the more than $220,000 raised.

94.9 The Point morning show hosts Mike Powers and Woo Woo broadcasted live from the station studios from November 10-12 in effort to raise critical dollars for the region’s only children’s hospital.

“Year after year, the generosity of our local communities is so inspiring,” said Bennett Zier, SVP/MM, Audacy Norfolk. “It’s truly our honor to be a part of this annual event that benefits so many families and children in Hampton Roads. We thank each and every person, family and business who donated over the last few days to improve the lives of children in our communities.”

Since its inception 20 years ago, 94.9 The Point Radiothon has raised more than $5 million to purchase equipment, fund research, support patient care programs, and expand the mental health program at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
