A special memorial radio show has been planned to celebrate the life and work of Tom Conklin. The three hour program on the Provincetown, MA community station is set for November 22.
“I think it’s a brilliant way to honor Tom’s great work here at WOMR,” said John Braden, Executive Director. “It really highlights the passion he brought to community radio. Plus, his birthday was November 19th, so the tribute is also a way of celebrating what would have been his 73rd birthday.”
WOMR Operations Manager Matthew Dunn worked with Tom’s daughter, India Conklin, to put together some of Tom’s archival programs with tributes she has collected from friends and family.
The former station manager, DJ, Board Member and Treasurer, died October 12, 2016.
