Z102.9 (KZIA-FM) Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, is collecting jars of Peanut Butter and Jelly for area students in need. The station has partnered with UFG Insurance for the drive the runs until October 23.
According to the station, school looks a bit different this year and PB&J Sandwiches are a convenient, easy meal for kids who may depend on school lunches. Along with collecting the sandwich essentials, the station is inviting those who donate to take the UFG Worth It Pledge against distracted driving.
Collection events have been scheduled at grocery stores throughout the Cedar Rapids Corridor area.
