Cox Media Group Tulsa is stepping up to help the American Heart Association’s Virtual Heart Walk. The event was held this passed Saturday.
Mix 96.5 (KRAV-FM) and FOX23 (KOKI-TV) and are co-emceeing the virtual walk. Mix 96.5’s KC and FOX23’s Shae Rozzi and will be walking in their own neighborhoods during the event and sharing words of encouragement to other participants doing the same.
“The American Heart Association is a longtime and valued partner of ours and it’s more important than ever that we support their mission during times of such uncertainty,” said Cathy Gunther, Market Vice President, CMG Tulsa. “Never has good heart health and healthy living been more paramount than in the middle of a pandemic, and we are happy to partner with an organization that does so much to further both causes.”
The walk moved to a virtual format after the COVID-19 outbreak across the country put focus on social distancing.
