Lucas is retiring from WHO in Des Moines after being part of the Van and Bonnie for the past 25 years. Lucas got the job after an open audition at the station back in 1992. The NAB has recognized the “Van and Bonnie Show” four times with a Marconi Award for “Best Radio Personality.” In addition, Harden and Lucas have received numerous awards for their community service and they were inducted into the Iowa Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame last year. The station is holding a retirement party for Lucas on March 6th.
