The morning team Rizzo and Jeff have exited Top 40 WKHQ in Traverse City, Michigan. Before Traverse City Rizzo and Jeff worked together at WDZH in Detroit hosting mornings. Before Detroit, Jeff was at WIOQ Philadelphia and Rizzo was at WPLJ in NYC.
The duo tells Radio Ink the the station wanted to go in a different direction. “We were saddened by the news and we both wish to thank MacDonald Garber Broadcasting for believing in us and giving us a chance to do a content heavy and unique morning show. They gave us all the support we could have asked for and we wish them best in the future”
They went on to say that in this world of Spotify, streaming and Social Media you need a show that is not just great on the air and has the ratings to back it up. “In 2020 you need a show to be out and on all social media platforms to reach the biggest possible audience. We provide unique content for each medium and infuse it into one umbrella to get the biggest possible reach and return for the station and client. That is what we are great at. That is what we can bring to the table that nobody else can”
