Marc Guild Passes

2

Marc Guild, the son of former Interep founder Ralph Guild has passed away suddenly. Marc’s first job was in the radio business. He worked at Interep for years, holding many positions there including Head of Research, VP of Operations, and President of Marketing.

Here are a few quotes we’ve received so far…

Marc had enormous passion for training and education and was committed to having the best trained sales and management team in the business. I shared that vision and had the opportunity and pleasure of helping him implement it across all of the Interep companies. His commitment to excellence and providing constant and consistent personal and professional growth for all Interep employees left an indelible mark, not only on Interep and its employees, but the industry as a whole. Marc played a key role in the success of Interep. This is a tremendous loss not only for his family but for the people whose lives and careers were impacted by him.

RIP Marc!

First, let me offer my deepest and heartfelt condolences to Interep founder Ralph Guid and his wife, Calla, and the entire Guild family, along with my Interep family. When Marc Guild was President of Interep’s Marketing Division, I reported to him as SVP/Urban Radio. Marc was great listener and tremendously supportive of me and had a tremendous commitment to diversity success both internally and for Interep’s radio station clients. Marc Guild made a difference in his service to the radio industry.

  1. I lived in the same town as Marc and though I am many years younger, every time he saw me, he was excited to say hello and ask me how i was doing. He did this with everyone in town. Such a big, warm personality. RIP

  2. Marc was a class act. As a former Interep employee Marc was a blast to go on calls with. He was articulate and had a passion for radio. He also had an amazing sense of humor. His Mr. Magoo impersonation was classic and still makes me smile. Condolences to the Guild family. Marc leaves an amazing legacy on an industry full of people he loved.
