Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach’s News/Talk 850 WFTL has launched a new programming lineup. It is: The Brian Kilmeade Show (10 a.m. to 12 noon), The Dana Loecsh Show (1 to 3 p.m.), The Ben Shapiro Show (3 to 6 p.m.), and The Dave Ramsey Show (7 to 10 p.m.).  Joyce Kaufman’s new time slot will be 12 to 1 p.m., along with Joyce’s Thought of the Day which will air in AM and PM drive respectively. The South Florida Morning Show with Jennifer Ross and Bill Adams will remain in its current time slot of 5:30 to 10 a.m.

“I am definitely not being pushed out. In fact, I wanted to retire, and the station management said ‘you can’t leave completely.’ So I am very grateful that they have been so gracious and accommodating,” Joyce Kaufman said in a statement.

“Joyce Kaufman has been an important piece to 850 WFTL for nearly 30 years,” said Hubbard Radio SVP/Market Manager Elizabeth Hamma. “We are happy she remains part of our very exciting new lineup.”

Program Director Paul Mason said, “We are thrilled Joyce is staying, and are very excited about the new programming lineup on 850 WFTL.”

  1. You get rid of Dr. Michael Savage, replace him with Barksy… and actually gave me a reason to listen to the station every day. Now he is gone. What were you guys thinking???? Was it that the station was unable to afford a replacement for Cody? The replacement (voice sounds like one of the chipmunks on speed but I can’t decide whether it’s Alvin, Simon or Theodore) certainly matches the radio’s programming guidelines – an all-day paid political infomercial for the Republican party. If you really have to spew Republican propaganda all day, at least bring back Savage – he was funny, even though he certainly didn’t intend it to be.

  2. Terrible terrible terrible. Tuned in the hear Barsky. Instead got some guy who sounded like a hyperactive chipmunk. Thank God I pay for SR. This is the end of this station.

  3. Bad programming decision by wftl. I enjoyed Barsky for the drive home. Gonna miss Joe Pags also. Congratulations you lost a long time listener.

  4. Loved listening to Barsky radio every after noon. They were hilarious. Wftf, stupid, stupid mistake
Already lost me as a morning listener with that politically slanted morning crew. They are awful. Now they lost me completely.

  5. I have been a loyal listener of 850 WFTL for 15 years. My most favorite show by far is Barsky Radio. I spend a lot of time in my car driving for work, and the highlight of my day has always been to tune in to Barsky, Ron Hersey, and Cody from 3-6 pm. There is just nobody like them anywhere else on the radio. No matter how bad a day I had, they always pit me in a good mood. Often, I’d laugh out loud in my car during their show.

I am very interested to know why Barsky radio was taken off the air. The show that is airing in its place is just awful. I sent an email to the program director to please consider bringing Barsky back, even if it is in a different time slot.

  7. Since you wizards of programming have decided to downsize Joyce Kaufman’s show, and eliminate Paul Barsky and Joe Pags completely, you have lost me as a listener. While I respect Dana Loesch for all her efforts on behalf of the Second Amendment and the NRA, putting her in a time slot opposite Rush Limbaugh on 610AM it’s like putting a high school football team against the Kansas City Chiefs. What in hell are you guys thinking anyway??? This is the worst lineup in the last 20 years of South Florida talk radio programming. I’d be very interested to see the ratings and demographics that support these decisions.
