Funeral services were held this past Saturday for longtime radio host “Andy O” Oatman who died at his home in Tulsa after a tough battle with cancer.
Andy was the son of legendary broadcaster “Ol Mike” Oatman. He started his career in the late ’80s doing overnights on KFDI AM/FM in Wichita, later moving to afternoon drive for a two years. He moved to Tulsa and took over the morning drive slot on KVOO FM in 1991, where he remained for 18 years. After retiring from radio, Oatman and his business partner started Bishline Banjos, a high-end, custom banjo production company.
Oatman is survived by his wife and two sons, and his brother and sister.
