Voice Of NPR Dies

“Support for NPR comes from NPR member stations…” Called the most heard voice on National Public Radio, Frank Tavares, has died. For 30 years Tavares would remind listeners who supported NPR programs.

Recently diagnosed with ALS, Tavares died December 30 at his home in Florida. He left the network in 2013. NPR’s Morning Edition aired a story about his career.
