Legendary Pittsburgh station, KQV, 1410 AM, is back on the air. The station returned after a nearly two-year hiatus earlier this week with a beautiful music/easy listening format.
One of the oldest stations in the nation was a market leader in the 50s, 60s, and 70s airing music and then shifting to all-news in 1975 until, as Radio Ink reported, it went dark on December 31, 2017.
Robert Stevens, President of Broadcast Communications, owner of KQV, told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that a return to the all-news format, “could be a good thing but if we ever do that, we really have to look very carefully.”
love to have kqv al talk back any chance of that
