Cumulus Country Station KJJY-FM/Des Moines (92.5 KJJY) and Variety children’s charity held a two-day radiothon this week as volunteers manned the phones in the station’s conference room. The morning team of Hatfield & McCoy (and Gail), midday host Tony Conrad, and afternoon guy Chad Taylor, along with Jacob Beals, drove the radiothon to a $140,000-plus total in support of critically ill children and their families in Central Iowa.
Variety’s Compassion Fund is designed to help alleviate the stress and financial burden a family faces while their child is hospitalized.
