A Cool $1.2 Million Raised For Injured Troops

The nationally syndicated Armstrong & Getty Show has announced that their annual Warrior Foundation-Freedom Radiothon raised approximately $1.2 million. All proceeds benefit the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station, which will purchase plane tickets for injured troops so they can spend the holidays at home and with their families.

“We feel compelled to give back to those who served our country,” said Joe Getty, co-host of the Armstrong & Getty Show. “Thankfully, our loyal listeners — we call them friends of Armstrong & Getty — agree with us wholeheartedly.”

“In all kinds of different ways, WFFS creates a buffer zone between combat and civilian life, providing our injured warriors with sanctuary, a sense of community, and the tools they’ll need to rejoin society,” said co-host Jack Armstrong.
