A newly organized board of directors has taken its place at Lower Cape Communications, the nonprofit announced Tuesday.

The community radio station held its annual meeting on November 23. New board members were elected to fill two vacant seats: Eli Ingraham of Provincetown and Boston, and Barbara Blaisdell of Provincetown and Vermont.

At the first board meeting following the annual meeting, Bruce A. Bierhans (pictured) was elected board president, and Marcy E. Feller was elected board vice-president. Tony Pierson and Sandra Hem-McMahon were re-elected to continue as treasurer and clerk.

“We want to express special thanks to our outgoing president Ira Wood, who served as the board president for six years and led us through a capital campaign to fund much-needed studio upgrades as well as the creation of a strategic plan,” said WOMR Executive Director John Braden.
