KRZZ-FM/San Francisco raised $490,796 during the 11th annual 93.3 La Raza radiothon.
“From the radio leadership to the DJ’s energy to the social media coordination, the success of the event was only made possible by the hard work and dedication from each staff member,” said KRZZ GM Christian De La Cruz. “With $490,796 we could pay for 306 ambulance rides, seven specialized newborn ICU beds, or 205 emergency room visits. One hundred percent of the money raised will go back to helping the patients and families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in Oakland and allow us to care for all children in the Bay Area, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.”
