The WSOY 18th Annual Community Food Drive in early October raised over 1.7 million pounds of food in just one day. The drive culminated in Decatur, IL, Tuesday, with the presentation of checks to local schools who won school-based contests. Decatur Eisenhower High School earned a $2500 prize for collecting the most food of any school in the area. In total, over 23 semi trucks full of food was raised in collected items or cash supporting 18 local agencies and food pantries.

In Lafayette, IN, and Danville, IL, Neuhoff provided for the needs of the community in Western Indiana and Central Illinois. In two separate events, almost 200,000 meals were raised around the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Among our core values as a company is community,” said CEO Beth Neuhoff. “The generosity of our listeners in serving the needs of our community never ceases to amaze us. We are so proud of our staff, listeners, and community partners.”
