Ed Dague, Albany Broadcaster Passes

Longtime radio and TV news anchor Ed Dague has died. While best known as anchor and managing editor for WNYT NewsChannel 13 in the Capital District, Dague started his broadcast career in radio.

His first job was at WRPI in Troy, NY, in the 60s, and he also worked at Albany radio stations WOKO and WPTR. He became the main daytime anchor at WGY radio in 1969. He moved to WGY’s TV counterpart, WRGB, in the 70s. Dague left WRGB for WNYT in 1984, retiring in 2003.

Ed Dague was 76 years old.
