Radio Ink EVP/Publisher Deborah Parenti said Forecast 2020, which took place in New York City, Wednesday, was the best Forecast we’ve had so far. “Thanks to a terrific team of participants, this year’s Forecast was the best ever. Great content, a lot of thought-provoking perspective, and some wonderful exchanges between attendees and speakers. This will be a hard one to top.”
From co-chairs Cumulus CEO Mary Berner and ANA CEO Bob Liodice kicking off the event, to Matt Britton’s outstanding keynote to Randy Michaels entertaining and informing, one attendee was overheard saying he had gotten his money’s worth before lunch.
The December pages of Radio Ink Magazine will be filled with pictures from the event, including stunning photos from our 40 Most Powerful People in Radio reception from the Harvard Club ballroom. The day was stacked with the biggest names in radio, advertising, podcasting, and finance. NAB Senior Advisor John David was our MC again this year. Gordon Borrell drilled analysts about the economy and how
radio fits in. The always honest and entertaining Randy Michaels worked over his panelists about radio as an investment. Keynoter Matt Britton, who’s on the cover of our November issue, educated attendees on how younger generations are consuming media today, iHeart’s Conal Byrne moderated a panel on the explosion of podcasting, RAB CEO Erica Farber hosted a panel of small market CEOs, Fred Jacobs interviewed Entercom CEO David Field and Cumulus CEO Mary Berner. And, complete with video examples, ANA CEO Bob Liodice wowed the crowd with a detailed explanation of how marketers and brands are adapting their business plans as consumers change the way they consume everything.
There’s no other way to get the full picture of what lies ahead for radio than to attend Radio Ink’s Forecast event in New York City. Nothing compares to hearing directly from, and networking with, the people who have their pulse on the future and control of the revenue.
