Dunlap Fires Attorney

Megan Kiefer no longer represents former WWL host Seth Dunlap. Former federal prosecuter Billy Gibbens is now Dunlap’s attorney as more details have been made public that point to Dunlap as the person who may have sent the homophobic tweets.

NOLA.com obtained police records that reference findings of a digital forensic firm hired by WWL Radio. The documents apparently link Dunlap to several devices and the homophobic tweet that originated from WWL’s Twitter account.

Dunlap maintained his innocence in a comment to NOLA. “It is something I did not do, and I am over it,” Dunlap said. “This is not who I am. I have an 18-year career to show that. I will stand on that and my integrity to my grave.”

Eventually a meeting took place between Dunlap, his attorney, and Entercom management. The company believes Dunlap tried to extort nearly $2 million in exchange for dropping his plan to file a hostile workplace lawsuit against the station.
