San Juan, NM, college station KSJE 90.9 is running its DJ For A Day fundraiser through November 22. Local community leaders are taking turns behind the mic to help raise funds for the station.
This is part of the semiannual fundraiser for the station, located on the San Juan College campus in Farmington, NM. The prerecorded, one-hour segments feature music and talk from a diverse group of aspiring DJs.
Among those recording segments for the week: The Toni & Boomer Show with San Juan College President Dr. Toni Hopper Pendergrass and VP for Student Services Dr. Boomer Appleman; The Sheriff Shane Show with San Juan County Sheriff Shane Ferrari; Radio en Fuego with San Juan County Fire Department’s Jordan Richard; DJ Hebbe Show with Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe and P.I.O Nicole Brown, and Farmington Mayor Nate Duckett and his daughter Hannah.
