Jim Shea has been named President of El Dorado Broadcasters, which owns stations in Victor Valley, CA, and Yuma, AZ. For the past seven years, Shea has been the CEO of Mapleton Communications. In July, Mapleton sold its 37 stations to the Stephens Media Group.
Shea is also a former SVP at Clear Channel, Capstar and COO at Commodore Media.
Shea said, “There are not many opportunities like El Dorado Broadcasting in radio right now: a private, well-run company with great dominant positions in its existing markets and a conservative balance sheet. We are ready and able to grow when the right opportunity comes along.”
