Boston’s WRKO raised over $230,000 during its DAV Radiothon to benefit the Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts, on Friday, November 8.

WRKO’s on-air personalities Jeff Kuhner, Barry Armstrong, Doug “V.B” Goudie, and Howie Carr held a 13-hour live broadcast encouraging listeners to donate and raise funds for the DAV homeless shelter and transportation programs.

“Since our nation’s inception, our military men and women have sacrificed their own lives for our freedom,” said Rob Sanchez, VP of News Talk for iHeartMedia Boston. “It’s an honor for AM 680 WRKO to have this opportunity to show respect for our veterans with the help of our generous listeners. And to raise $233,593 this year is incredibly gratifying.”

Since 2016, DAV Radiothon has raised over $600,000 to benefit veterans in the community.
