The Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio Group — an offshoot of Radio Ink magazine’s annual listing of the “Most Influential Women in Radio” and a volunteer organization dedicated to the advancement of female leadership in radio — and Nielsen Music, have named Amanda “ICE” Habrowski the 2019 MIW Group-Nielsen Music Programming Mentee.

A 15-year veteran of radio, Habrowski is the APD, Music Director, and midday host of Alpha’s Live 95.5 KBFF-FM in Portland.

The one-year mentorship matches a female programming candidate with key leaders from both the MIW Radio Group and Nielsen Music aimed at sharpening the programming and professional skills needed to further their career in music-formatted radio.

“As the third year co-sponsoring the Annual MIW-Nielsen Music Mentoring Program, it’s an honor to name Amanda ‘ICE’ Habrowski as this year’s honoree,” said Haley Jones, Director of Radio at Nielsen. “Nielsen values diversity and inclusion and being a part of this mentorship program continues Nielsen’s mission to promote equality in the workplace. Nielsen looks forward to more years collaborating and further advancing women in radio, alongside MIW.”

In addition to the one-year mentoring opportunity, Habrowski received a scholarship to attend the 2019 Radio Show.
