Indianapolis sports talker Dan Dakich has been suspended for five days. Dakich hosts the 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. slot on the Emmis-owned ESPN affiliate in Indy. No reason was given for the suspension other than other than Dakich did not adhere to the journalistic principles valued by Emmis.
The company issued only this short statement and did not say whether the suspension had anything to do with something Dan said on the air or posted to social media:
Dan Dakich will not be appearing on his show this week. Dan and Emmis have mutually agreed to a suspension period of five days due to a failure last year on Dan’s part to adhere to the journalistic principles valued by Emmis.
