NABOB Fall Conference A Smashing Success

On October 2 and 3, the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters held its annual event in Washington, DC. Kizart Media Partners Managing Partner Sherman Kizart shared this photo from the event and his thoughts on the conference.

Kizart tells Radio Ink the biggest takeaway from the conference was that advertisers and their agency partners are looking for ideas and opportunities to effectively reach and deliver target. “African American buying is at $1.5 trillion and growing, as outlined in the newly released Nielsen 2019 African American Consumer Report. Nielsen SVP Bill Rose said, ‘Global marketers such as P&G are significantly increasing their investments in Urban Radio.'”

Also at the conference, Major General John Evans, Commanding General of US Army Cadet Command, told attendees, “The US Army understands that Urban Radio is a trusted voice in the African-American community and wants to further partner with Urban Radio to help increase the number of African American officer candidates.”

Kizart told Radio Ink he believes African-American advertising agencies, in partnership with Urban Radio, can go further by working together to help marketers achieve success.
