Emmis Communications has added Chase Rupe to its senior leadership team as SVP, Strategy and Corporate Development. Rupe is responsible for investment sourcing and evaluation as Emmis seeks to reinvest proceeds from its recent radio station sales.
“Chase has been one of our top performers for years and I’m thrilled he’s chosen to remain with Emmis as we embark on our next stage of growth. He’s a great addition to our leadership team and his drive and intellect are already making a huge difference as we source and evaluate deals,” said Jeff Smulyan, Emmis Chairman and CEO.
Rupe spent the past 12 years as SVP, Operations at Emmis Austin and previously served in leadership roles at iHeart Media and Cumulus Media. He will be based in Austin.
