FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks is a guest speaker at the 19th annual Power of Urban Radio Forum in Washington, D.C. this week. The event takes place in partnership with the 43rd Annual NABOB Conference and is being held this year at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
The Luncheon Keynote Speaker is Fay Ferguson, Co-CEO, Burrell Communications Group headquartered in Chicago. Ms. Ferguson will also receive a National Service Award.
Remarks will be given by Major General John Evans, Commanding General of U.S. Army Cadet Command, which is responsible for the U.S. Army’s development of Officer Corps. The U.S. Army has a $2 billion advertising and marketing budget in FY 2020. Recently, the U.S. Army selected a new agency partner from multi-billion agency, DDB. .DDB has created Team DDB, a roster of 7 agencies, to service the U.S. Army advertising, marketing, and media.
